We arrived this spring on April 7th after visiting Matera, an ancient town in southern Italy that was just named one of the Cultural Capitals of Europe for 2019. We highly recommend it.
I must say that we had goosebumps driving in through the gate of Villa Palazzetta. And that evening, our very first evening back in Montalcino, here's what we were greeted with.
And as if that wasn't enough this was followed by an incredible sunset over Montalcino. The single most amazing thing about Villa Palazzetta is the light. Morning through evening the light is always changing.
